Join a well-established dealership in the agricultural machinery sector as their new Sales Manager. This pivotal role involves leading a dynamic team of four salespeople, two locally based and two interstate, driving sales and market penetration. You'll be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans, ensuring the dealership meets and exceeds its targets.
This role offers the opportunity to directly impact the dealership's success, working closely with the Dealer Principal and contributing to the overall growth of the business. You will be responsible for managing inventory, training new sales staff, and collaborating with the marketing department to develop effective sales strategies.
NOTE: There is an expectation of some direct selling in this role.
This position requires a proactive leader with a strong understanding of farm machinery sales and a proven track record in achieving sales targets.
Role responsibilities:
- Oversee and mentor a team of four salespeople
- Manage and optimise inventory levels
- Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales strategies
- Train and onboard new sales personnel
- Collaborate with interstate salespeople on regional strategies
- Report directly to the Dealer Principal
- Drive sales performance to meet and exceed targets
Required skills:
- Proven sales management experience.
- Extensive experience in farm machinery sales
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies
- Proficiency in inventory management
- Strong understanding of the agricultural sector
This role offers a competitive base salary of around $120,000 to $140,000 plus a lucrative bonus structure tied to gross profit. You will also be supplied with a company vehicle, phone and laptop.
