About the organisation:
Our client is a Queensland based not for profit which provides a variety of health services to people who use substances throughout Queensland.
About the role:
As the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing strategies, creating engaging content, and managing communication channels to enhance brand visibility. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective messaging across various platforms.
Please note this is a permanent part-time role working 3 days per week (22.5 hours), with flexibility on which days this is.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies to promote the organisation’s brand and initiatives.
- Create engaging content for digital and print platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, press releases, and marketing collateral.
- Development of SEO strategy to utilise keywords, Google Ads and other resources to improve website ranking and visibility.
- Managing the back end of the new company website, and social media sites.
- Focus on the effective communication of organisations purpose, health programs and activities to ensure accessibility and participation of clients and stakeholders.
About you:
- Proven experience (3 + years) in a marketing or communications role.
- Must have experience working within a not-for-profit or community based organisation.
- Demonstrated experience utilising a variety of digital marketing channels (including automation, email, performance media, SEM, social media, content, SEO).
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
- Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to relate and communicate with empathy, sensitivity, and cultural awareness to engage diverse audience.
