Join a well-established national leader in their sector as a Senior Payroll Officer, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely payroll processing for a large and diverse workforce.

Based in North-West Sydney, this is a full-time, office-based role with flexible working hours, onsite parking, and access to onsite gym and facilities. You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing payroll team, working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your expertise and attention to detail will make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 750 + employees on a weekly basis using Micropay
• Ensuring payroll compliance with legislation, awards, and EBAs, staying up to date with industry regulations
• Accurately calculating wages, superannuation, tax, and leave entitlements
• Managing payroll queries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders including HR, Finance, and Operations to maintain payroll accuracy and efficiency
• Generating payroll reports and assisting with audits as required
• Continuously identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and drive efficiencies

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 6 months of Micropay experience in a high-volume payroll environment
• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of award and EBA interpretation
• A keen eye for accuracy and compliance, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, superannuation, and leave calculations
