About the Company
This is an exciting opportunity to join a boutique consulting business conveniently located in a brand-new dog friendly office space the heart of Stones Corner.

Context Engineering is a boutique civil engineering design consultancy specialising in commercial and urban development across Queensland, NSW, and Victoria. Over the past four years, we’ve experienced rapid growth in the team and our client base, and we’re setting up to expand further.

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Administration Manager with strong financial management skills and exceptional administrative capabilities to join our team. This role is pivotal to the growth plan for the business, and would suit someone looking to join a growing team and play a crucial role in the company evolution.

You’ll be based in our Stones Corner office, working closely with the Director and the engineering team. This role can be full-time or part-time (minimum three days per week), with flexible hours to suit the right candidate. We will work with you to find the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will be diverse and impactful, and includes the following responsibilities:

Financial Management (50%)

  • Oversee accounts payable & receivable, and payroll using Xero
  • Manage financial reconciliation and reporting
  • Monitor and follow up with debtors and outstanding invoices

Human Resources (25%)

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Maintain employee records
  • Assist with team development initiatives

Office & Business Operations (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance processes
  • Coordinate marketing, branding, and company events
  • Provide general administrative and operational support

We believe that you’ll need the following skills and experience to thrive in this role:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within engineering, consulting, or a related sector
  • Strong Xero proficiency; particularly in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple initiatives
