About the role

Raceview Kindergarten and Child Care Centre is seeking a part-time Cook to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the children in our care, ensuring they receive the nourishment they need to thrive.

What you'll be doing

• Plan and prepare well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements and preferences
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
• Manage food ordering, stock control and inventory
• Collaborate with the wider team to create menus that cater to the children's tastes and needs
• Monday to Friday - 7am until required

What we're looking for

• Relevant cooking or catering qualification
• Have or willing to obtain a Queensland Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Experience in a similar role, preferably within a childcare or educational setting
• Knowledge of food safety, nutrition and dietary requirements for children
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Passion for providing high-quality, nutritious meals for children
