About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team at Bakers Delight Wheelers Hill, VIC. This is a full-time or part-time role, offering flexible working arrangements to suit your needs. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting the overall operations of our store.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Responding to customer inquiries and providing product information and recommendations
• Processing sales transactions, handling cash and operating the point-of-sale system
• Maintaining the store's appearance by replenishing stock, tidying displays and ensuring the store is clean and organised
• Collaborating with the team to achieve store sales targets and goals
• Adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail sales role, preferably in the Retail & Consumer Products industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle customer inquiries and concerns
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• A team-oriented attitude and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the store
