About the role

Hume and Iser Mitre 10 are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Hand & Power Tool Sales Assistant to join our team in Bendigo, Victoria. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product expertise to support our customers in selecting the right tools for their home improvement projects.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting customers both trade & Retail with product selection, answering questions, and making recommendations on hand and power tools
• Maintaining an organised and well-stocked sales floor to ensure product availability
• Demonstrating the features and capabilities of tools to help customers make informed purchasing decisions
• Processing sales transactions and handling cash and card payments accurately
• Actively participating in stock management, merchandising, and other store operations as required
• Providing a high level of customer service to build strong relationships with our regulars

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a hardware or home improvement environment
• Strong product knowledge and an interest in hand and power tools, home improvement, and DIY
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers and provide tailored recommendations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
• Enthusiasm, initiative, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
