A well-established Electronic Security Integrator is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Officer to join its dynamic team based in Western Sydney nearby Lidcombe. This role focuses on providing direct technical support to Electronic Security Technicians, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to electronic security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems. The position also involves direct communication with clients to ensure their needs are met and systems are running smoothly.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical Support for Technicians: Assist technicians with troubleshooting security system installations, maintenance, and servicing.
- Issue Diagnosis and Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues, offering hands-on assistance with security system components such as CCTV, access control, and alarms to minimize downtime.
- Client Communication and Assistance: Directly communicate with clients to address technical queries, provide support during service visits, and ensure their security systems are operating at optimal levels.
- Job Updates and Coordination: Prepare detailed notes/updates on all assigned technical jobs and provide clear communication for service/technical meetings to ensure ongoing support tasks are tracked and managed effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of technical support activities, incidents, and resolutions, ensuring all relevant information is readily available for future reference.
- System Configuration and Support: Assist with system setup, configuration, and installation tasks as required, ensuring all security systems are configured properly and integrated into the client's environment.
- Troubleshooting and Remote Support: Provide remote assistance and troubleshoot client security systems, helping resolve any operational issues remotely when possible.
- Customer Relations: Build strong working relationships with clients, providing them with clear updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable technical support.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve technical processes and support workflows, identifying opportunities to enhance system performance and service delivery.
Experience Required:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Technical Support Experience: Proven experience in a Level 1 and Level 2 support role, particularly in the electronic security industry (CCTV, access control, alarm systems).
- Office Based Work Ability: Due to the nature of the role, this position does NOT offer any Work From Home (WFH) Flexibility, therefore, you must able to travel to the Western Sydney Suburbs Mon - Fri.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues related to security systems.
- Customer-Focused Approach: Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric attitude, with a focus on providing responsive and effective support to clients.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of electronic security systems, including common troubleshooting methods for CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Team Support: Ability to collaborate with and provide assistance to technicians on-site, ensuring technical issues are addressed efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear, professional interactions with both clients and team members.
