The Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of business operations to support our rapid growth and commitment to excellence in medical and dental school preparation. This full-time role requires a strategic thinker and problem-solver who can optimise internal processes, coordinate cross-functional teams, and enhance overall efficiency while maintaining our student-first approach.

Contour MedPrep is a leading medical preparation program that currently specialises in comprehensive UCAT and Interview preparation, aiming to empower and support the next generation of healthcare professionals in the highly competitive yet often daunting process of gaining entry into medical school.

Our UCAT course aligns itself with the objective of the UCAT, rigorously training students in the mental abilities and skills of a successful doctor or dentist, through engaging group lessons, comprehensive and abundant resources, live mock exams, 24/7 student support and so much more! We are extremely committed to innovative and results-driven medical preparation, with industry-first initiatives such as our Live UCAT Testing Centre and student accountability system propelling our 2023 students to an industry-leading median UCAT score of 3040+, one student even setting the world record score of 3590!

Over 6,000 students and 150+ team members have joined our tutoring services since our founding in 2020. This year, we have successfully expanded our in-person Live Testing Centres to Brisbane and Sydney, with over 1000 bookings, and hundreds of new enrolments from all over Australia. What you'll do

Operational Excellence & Process Optimisation

• Develop and implement efficient workflows to streamline day-to-day operations.
• Identify areas for improvement and automate processes to enhance productivity.
• Ensure all operational activities align with Contour MedPrep’s growth objectives and service standards.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Team Leadership

• Oversee and coordinate between student support, admissions, marketing, and tutoring teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage and support a team of Operations Coordinators and Administrative Staff, ensuring high performance.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal teams, providing leadership in problem-solving, scheduling, and logistics.

Student & Parent Experience Management

• Ensure a seamless enrolment, onboarding, and customer support experience.
• Monitor and improve student satisfaction metrics, ensuring a supportive and efficient service process.
• Implement feedback-driven improvements to enhance the overall student experience.

Compliance, Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Maintain operational compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, and generating key reporting to measure current success and opportunities and influence future growth.

Experience Requirements

🎓 Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in business, business administration, commerce or similar.

🕒 3+ years of operational leadership in a fast-paced environment. (Ideally suited to those who enjoy start-up and scale-up businesses - will consider those from service-oriented retail or hospitality leadership roles too)

• Genuine Desire to Motivate Students (e.g. your primary goal is to help students achieve their potential, like us!)
• Past VCE Graduate (we still accept applications from non-VCE graduates, just it helps!)
