The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service which has been caring for the Broome community for more than 45 years. When we first opened our doors in 1978, BRAMS was the first remote Aboriginal Medical Service in Western Australia.
We deliver comprehensive, holistic and culturally responsive primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services, and NDIS support to more than 6500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Broome region.

About the role
The Nurse Practitioner plays a key role in our busy and fast-paced primary health care clinic, managing triage and treatment for patients. This role involves providing advanced clinical care, assessing and diagnosing patients, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans in accordance with the BRAMS Model of Care. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered care, ensuring timely and effective treatment for the community.

- Competitive Salary of $114,500 – $117,000 per annum depending on experience

About you
To be successful in this role, you must address the following selection criteria:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Advanced clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of illness and injury and health promotion relevant to the role and within individual scope of practice.
- Demonstrated clinical problem solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to manage internal and external relationships in a complex organisational context, including cross-cultural settings.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- Previous experience within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service.
