What's the role on offer?

Based onsite in Brisbane, this is an exciting and dynamic role for an AMO Workshop – Stores Person, Facilities and Tooling Officer. You will be an integral part of our workshop operations, responsible for the receiving, inspecting, and dispatching of aviation parts and equipment. You'll also ensure accurate inventory management and compliance with aviation regulations, as well as maintain workshop equipment and tooling to meet calibration requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day stores responsibilities, including receiving, dispatching, and issuing parts to the wheel & brake workshop.
  • Monitoring stock levels of wheel and brake components locally and nationwide.
  • Coordinating with third-party customers and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintaining fire warden and first aid company approvals.
  • Assisting in preparing workload forecasts and cost quotations.
  • Developing and implementing project and facilities management procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting stocktakes, and ensuring proper storage of aviation parts.
  • Ensuring compliance with local and national regulations regarding environmental and safety procedures in the workshop.
  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and streamlining component induction into the workshop.
  • Ensuring safety, security, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies and procedures in all aspects of the role.

Who we are looking for:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in aviation and have formal warehouse and inventory control training. You will be excited for new challenges and open to embracing the growth of the Airline. Ideally you would be familiar with dangerous goods awareness and hold a current and valid C class drivers licence. Your skills will consist of:

  • Experience in maintaining accurate inventory, regular stocktakes, and handling parts per aviation regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, security, and regulatory requirements in aviation.
  • Experience in managing workshop equipment, tooling, and maintaining a safe, compliant environment.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams for smooth workflow.
  • Experience in aviation stores, knowledge of Alkym & Winair, and relevant licenses (forklift, driver’s).
