What You'll Do:
As our part-time office/practice manager, you'll be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring smooth sailing and a positive atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reception Duties: Warmly welcoming patients, handling enquiries with a smile, scheduling and managing appointments, patient invoicing, inventory control, returns management, and frame, lens and contact lens ordering.
- Financial Controller: Managing accounts payable, resolving supplier queries, and processing credit requests efficiently.
- Marketing Manager: Developing and implementing marketing initiatives, utilising Canva and Mailchimp for our campaigns and recalls, managing our social media accounts, and liaising with the director to drive sales and business growth.
- HR Support: Assisting with human resources tasks, ensuring a happy, coherent and productive team. May occasionally also involve mentoring or training staff, providing guidance in optical dispensing and customer care.
- Optical Assistant (Training Provided): Embracing the opportunity to learn optical dispensing skills, including frame and lens selection, taking lens measurements, quality control, lens fitting, spectacle delivery, and minor frame repairs.
- General Assistant: General retail/shopkeeping duties as well as practice merchandising to maintain a hygienic, welcoming and organised environment.

- Competent and comfortable with technology including MS Office Suite, Canva, Mail Chimp, efax, and various mobile phone apps.
- A desire and capacity to learn new skills quickly and grow with our practice.
- Experience in office management, reception, or a related field is highly valued.

- Previous experience in the optical industry or healthcare.
- Willingness to undergo formal dispensing courses (supported by the practice!).
