About the Position

The People and Performance team are looking for a dedicated and qualified Work Health and Safety Advisor on a three-year contract to support a safe and compliant workplace, fostering a strong safety culture. In this role you will work closely with our Infrastructure teams to deliver safety outcomes for our people and the organisation. You will provide ongoing support in the implementation and monitoring of the City's Safety Management System requirements such as incident and hazard investigations, in addition to supporting the health & wellbeing program, workers compensation and compliance and maintenance of the City's ISO45001 accreditation.

To be successful in this position you will need to hold a recognised tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety with significant previous experience in a WHS role and be able to demonstrate:

• An understanding of the practical application of the Western Australian Work Health and Safety and Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven organisational, time management and priority setting skills with high attention to detail.
• Incident Investigation Methodology (I-CAM) or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and work with all levels of employees and a range of external stakeholders.
• Current 'C' Class Driver's licence.
• Current National Police Clearance.
