Finance Officer

- Full-time - Monday to Friday - Hybrid role available after onboarding in our Melbourne CBD office

Elevo Care is a registered NDIS Service Provider with a team of highly trained and empathetic staff dedicated to supporting our clients and their loved ones. We offer short- and long-term support, community access, and Supported Independent Living services.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Board, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and accurate financial transactions while managing various accounting and administrative functions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing business in the disability sector.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Processing fortnightly payroll and conducting payroll analysis
- Ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements
- Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
- Preparing month-end reconciliations and financial reports
- Assisting with quarterly BAS, monthly IAS, company income tax, and payroll tax filings
- Liaising with stakeholders and management to support financial operations
- Ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal policies
- Performing ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting as required
- Working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum Cert IV in Finance or Bookkeeping with at least 1 year of post-graduate experience
- A strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger balancing
- Proficiency in Xero and Advanced Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with vendors, customers, and colleagues
- The ability to prioritise tasks effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A proactive, problem-solving approach and a strong sense of accountability
- Experience & knowledge of the NDIS sector and compliance requirements (highly regarded)
