Unison Solar Energy Pty Ltd is a leading solar equipment manufacturer based in Stapylton, Queensland, specializing in the production of high-quality photovoltaic (PV) equipment. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead our QA department and ensure the highest standards in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IEC 61215 and IEC 61730
• Monitor and enforce quality control measures across the entire PV manufacturing process, including raw material inspection, cell and module assembly, lamination, encapsulation, and final product testing (e.g., EL testing, power output validation, etc.).
• Lead quality audits and risk assessments to improve product reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCR) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure continuous improvement and defect reduction.
• Work closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are met from material procurement to final product shipment.
• Supervise and train quality control teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Analyse quality data using tools such as SPC, FMEA, and 8D methodologies to identify trends and drive process improvements
• Ensure all products meet Australian and international PV manufacturing compliance standards before market release.
• Report quality performance metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for enhancement.

What We Are Looking For

• A seasoned QA lead with 10+ years of experience in the solar energy or advanced manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of solar panel manufacturing processes, materials, and industry-specific quality standards.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor QA teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using statistical process control (SPC), FMEA, and 8D methodologies.
• Familiarity with international compliance requirements in PV manufacturing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with production, R&D, and supply chain teams.
