Experienced Female Disability Support Worker Wanted

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care to individuals with complex needs in an SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) setting. The role involves supporting clients with high care needs and assisting with a range of personal care and daily activities, including manual handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with mobility, hygiene, and grooming.
• Support clients with manual handling tasks in a safe and respectful manner.
• Facilitate active nights and sleepover house shifts to ensure the well-being of clients throughout the night.
• Promote client independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Follow individualized care plans and ensure that all health and wellbeing requirements are met.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience working with clients with high care needs and complex disabilities.
• Demonstrated competence in manual handling and personal care tasks.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Ability to work night shifts and sleepover house shifts.
• Empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
• Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Must be female, in accordance with the needs of the client.
• Relevant qualifications in disability support or related fields.
• Australian Driver's License
