
Senior Director, Next Steps Reform and Strategy Implementation

The Senor Director, Next Steps is responsible for the leadership, management and oversight of a variety of projects aligned with the implementation of the Next Steps Strategy. Working closely with the Executive Branch Manager, you will lead a small cohesive team in an agile environment to deliver innovative human services reform.
The role will be responsible for sensitive and complex stakeholder engagement and will oversee some procurement and commissioning to enable the delivery of the Next Steps reform. The Senior Director will lead work in collaboration with the relationship and contract management teams to develop the systems and processes to integrate and enable leading practice.
The Senior Director brings integrity, innovation, and exceptional project management skills, and will foster collaboration across the Directorate, government and with the community. The Senior Director also demonstrates strong policy and analytical skills, exceptional communication and high levels of personal resilience.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (such as Project Management) and / or experience relevant to the role are desirable. Examples include experience in human-centred design, implementation of strategic reform and system change.
- Experience and/or a desire to work in a community services environment is essential. A background in child safety and family support where there are high and complex needs will be an advantage.
- Prior to commencement, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
- This position requires a Working with Vulnerable People Check. This position requires a Working with Vulnerable People Check. Prior to commencing in this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) ACT 2011 will be required. Notes: This is a temporary opportunity available for a period of 36 months with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool may be established from this selection process and maybe used to fill temporary and permanent vacancies over the next 12 months.
