About the role

Just a 20 minute walk from Chatswood Station or a 10 minute walk from Roseville Station (T1 and T9), the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre is a vibrant hub for creativity and culture, nestled in the leafy suburb of Roseville. The centre offers a wide range of classes and workshops for all ages and skill levels, including visual arts, creative writing, ceramics, and guitar.

The centre's relaxed and peaceful vibe, combined with its beautiful surroundings, makes it an ideal place for both learning and leisure.

Reporting to the Arts & Cultural Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work across all aspects of the Art Centre, including exhibitions, enrolments, promotions, and general operations
  • Participate in creative concepts and the organisation of, programs and classes
  • Develop and deliver cultural activities and events

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Qualifications in business administration, community development and/or substantial relevant experience in Arts, Cultural Management, Community Development, or a related field
  • Current Working with Children Check (Paid workers)
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams) and bookings systems/programs
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
