- $32/hr - $37.63 per hour (depending on experience) + Super + Salary Packaging
- Diploma Qualified Educators only - Part time 12month contract
- Must be available Monday - Friday to work the afternoon shift but may be needed for a few morning shifts.
About the Opportunity
Uniting MLC School Outside School Hours Care, located on the grounds of MLC Junior Girls School, provides a dynamic and engaging program with a diverse range of creative and recreational activities designed to suit each child’s unique interests, personality, and abilities. We are seeking a dedicated Diploma qualified educator to join our team on a 12 month contract.
What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your work may include:
- Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
- Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes
Who we’re looking for
- Must have completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, with previous on the job experience (preferred)
- Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
- A work history that demonstrates, programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework (National Standard)
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
