Your opportunity
Join our professional and dedicated After and Before College Care/Vacation Care team in a casual capacity and play a vital role in the delivery of our high-quality program. As a casual relief team member, you will apply your experience and qualification to actively supervise, interact and engage with children within a collaborative environment. Successful applicants will be employed on a casual basis and also assist with the relief of our permanent team members while on leave.
Reporting to the Manager ABCC you will be responsible for:
- providing and assisting learning opportunities for children using intentional teaching and scaffolding methods and encouraging spontaneous learning;
- supervising children during programmed experiences, ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all children at the service.
- greeting families and communicating with children as well as their parents to enhance well established partnerships between families and the Service, and to develop new partnerships with future families in a highly professional manner.
You will have:
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care OR Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or tertiary education related to children
- Current Paid Blue Card
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Skills and sensitivity in communicating with parents, students and other employees
- An ability to work both independently and as part of a team
