About the Role:
As the Manager Safety and Security, you will organise and oversee all security operations across Service NSW to ensure a safe and secure and secure work environment for all employees within Service NSW.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include lead the implementation of all operational and technical aspects of security operations, including resolution, breaches and investigations, develop and deliver the security technology asset maintenance and improvement program, lead all procurement initiatives and implement robust governance frameworks with approved Service NSW contractors, Senior and Executive Leaders and other business partners, lead the implementation and practical adherence to work health and safety obligations and initiatives in partnership with the Service NSW safety team across the agency, whilst proactively contributing to the development of sound safety and security policies and procedures. Lead a team through effective leadership.
About the Team:
The Safety and Security Operations team at Service NSW is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our customers, staff, and infrastructure. Our team plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment through the coordination and delivery of contracted security services, as well as the implementation of comprehensive safety and security policies and procedures.
About You:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operational Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management, with extensive experience in leading and developing teams across a multi-site, geographically dispersed portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a current motor vehicle driver licence and be willing to travel throughout the state as required.
- Obtain a National Security Check successfully.
- Be available to work outside normal hours during serious safety and security incidents.
- Manage CCTV, access control, and other electronic security solutions.
- Lead and develop teams in a Senior Leadership role.
- Implement procurement and contract management practices within a government agency.
- Ensure adherence to security rules and manage work health and safety hazards.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in safety and security risk management or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated extensive experience as a Senior Operational Manager.
- Strong commitment to security and safety of employees.

Support office roles will be headquartered across McKell, Parramatta and Gosford. We will consider role headquarters outside of the above locations where the role can reasonably be performed from that location taking into consideration the operational, financial and customer requirements of the role, and an ability to attend a NSW Government workplace as required. At the point an employee is notified of our intention to assign them to a role, the relevant leader will discuss headquarter options.
Salary Service NSW Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at 157569 base plus superannuation
