The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Site Manager can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.
About the Role
MSS Security is seeking a dedicated and professional Security Site Manager to join our team in the heart of Sydney's CBD. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a visible security presence while maintaining a proactive and vigilant approach. As a valued member of our enthusiastic, customer-focused team, you will contribute to the safety and security of the building, staff, and visitors, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders. This is a Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Security Operations: Manage day-to-day security activities across the site, ensuring all operations are carried out efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise Security Team: Lead and motivate a team of security officers, ensuring all tasks are executed to a high standard.
- Access Control Management: Ensure that access control systems are functioning correctly, authorizing and monitoring the entry and exit of personnel, contractors, and visitors.
- CCTV Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems to detect and respond to security threats or incidents promptly.
- Customer Service: Provide a professional, courteous, and proactive security presence while offering exceptional customer service to staff, tenants, and visitors.
- Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact in emergency situations, coordinating responses such as evacuations, first aid, or liaising with emergency services.
- Incident Reporting: Ensure that all security incidents are documented accurately, and appropriate action is taken in accordance with policies.
- Visitor Management: Oversee visitor sign-in and induction processes, ensuring safety and compliance with building protocols.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure that all security systems, processes, and policies are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Liaison with Stakeholders: Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, and other key parties to ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Experience
- Certificate II in Security and a current First Aid certificate.
- Valid NSW Security Licence.
- Proven leadership and experience in managing a security team.
- Strong commitment to security, reliability, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency in operating advanced security systems.
- Strong ability to make decisions under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
- High level of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Experience in managing security audits, compliance, and incident reporting.
