As the Senior Dentist Manager, your primary objective will be to manage the effective delivery of a client centred oral health service to eligible groups in Central Australia in accordance with Oral Health Service Central Australia (OHSCA) policies, procedures and guidelines; and to be involved in planning and policy development. You will also be required to plan, implement, manage, monitor, evaluate and report on services provided at Flynn Drive Dental Centre (FDDC), including those of visiting specialists, in conjunction with the Clinical Manager.

You will provide high quality comprehensive clinical services to eligible client groups, both adults and children, in urban, rural and remote areas including consultancy advice on complex cases and liaise with relevant OHSCA managers to coordinate staff for the efficient and effective daily running of urban services. The Senior Dentist Manager is also responsible for the supervision and mentoring of final year dental students on clinical placement during the academic year, the professional and line management of urban dental officers and select non-dentist employees. You will also contribute to the formulation of OHSCA operational and clinical plans, policies, procedures and guidelines, and foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.

Oral Health Service in Central Australia (OHSCA) provides a range of oral health services, community education programs and targeted services to clients with chronic diseases and special needs. OHSCA is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and collaborates with the Menzies School of Health Research and the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health in multi-centre research programs.
