Great opportunity for Projects Officer/Project Coordinator with proven GIS (Geographic Information System) experience, required for an exciting cutting-edge project in the NSW Government sector.

This opportunity
Working in a highly skilled team of I.T and business professionals, this role will focus on supporting project managers to ensure project plan, project budgets, and project scheduling are kept on track, for a major utilities improvement project this NSW Government organisation. This is a highly exciting role, to work with some of the best in the business, within an innovative and supportive environment. This initial contract will be for 5 months with further extensions highly likely and will be performed working from the client’s Greater Western Sydney based offices, which also allows the flexibility to work from home some of the time 1-2 days per week.

Required skills and experience

• 4 years+ experience in total as a Project Officer and/or Project Coordinator
• 3+ years’ experience of Micro-Soft Office (Word, Outlook, 365, Excel) to intermediate-advanced level
• 2+ years experiences of working in large / enterprise-scale projects (utility-sector experience highly desirable)
• Proven experience of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) such as ESRI Arc GIS, QGIS or similar
• Currently hold “C” class drivers licence
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice-to- have skills and experience

• Degree in Natural Resources or Environmental Science
• Previous NSW Government, Banking or Telco experience
• Certified in project management (Prince 2, PmBoK etc.)
