About the Position

Working within our Community, Culture and Recreation Team, the Community Development Officer (Partnerships & Volunteers) will contribute towards creating a vibrant and enriched City of South Perth community through researching, developing and implementing community development programs, services and projects, primarily in the areas of:

  • Community partnerships
  • Community funding
  • Volunteer governance
  • First Nations engagement and reconciliation

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience in community partnerships/funding programs, volunteering governance and projects to best meet the needs of our communities, such as First Nations peoples.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and working with the community.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines utilising developed time management skills.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, allowing effective communication with a wide range of people in order to develop and maintain a good rapport.
  • Sound computing skills.
  • Current 'C' class driver's license.
