About Us
We are a rapidly growing small business operating out of a brand new 1,500m² facility in a new estate. We specialise in high quality 4X4 accessories.
We prioritise premium levels of Customer Service, Delivery, Quality and Safety.
We are looking for a Warehouse Manager who’s key role is to provide smooth day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This role includes; stock control, order fulfilment, receiving and dispatch management, forklift operation, and maintaining workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Receive and check all incoming stock against purchase orders, ensuring accurate quantities and product condition before acceptance.
- Palletise, wrap, and label all incoming stock to maintain warehouse organization and easy retrieval.
- Monitor stock levels perform stocktakes and cycle counts, manage damaged and/or quarantined inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) report discrepancies to the inventory manager.
- Identify and resolve stock variances, investigating missing or misplaced items.
- Work closely with suppliers and freight/courier vendors to track shipments and resolve any supply chain enquiries.
Dispatch & Customer Service
- Oversee the packing and dispatching of orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring all items are correctly picked, packed, and prepared for transport.
- Coordinate courier pickups and liaise with delivery services to track shipments and resolve any delays or issues.
- Manage Click & Collect orders, ensuring orders are prepared and available for collection at the designated time.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, assisting with inquiries about stock availability, order status, and returns.
- Ensure correct labelling and documentation is included with every shipment for accurate delivery and tracking.
- Process returns and exchanges as required, ensuring damaged or faulty goods are handled appropriately.
Forklift & Equipment Management
- Operate and manage warehouse forklifts, ensuring they are compliant safely operated at all times.
- Ensure forklifts and other warehouse equipment undergo regular servicing and preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
- Train and supervise other staff on safe forklift operation if required and ensure compliance with WHS regulations.
- Keep accurate service logs for all equipment and liaise with service providers when necessary.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all warehouse operations comply with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations, creating a safe and efficient working environment.
- Conduct routine safety inspections/audits to identify and address potential hazards, ensuring compliance with legislation and company safety policies.
- Ensure correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all staff and visitors entering the warehouse.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment, reducing the risk of workplace accidents.
- Train and support staff in safety procedures, manual handling techniques, and emergency response plans.
- Keep updated with changes in WHS legislation and implement necessary changes to keep the warehouse compliant.
- Manage fire safety procedures, ensuring fire exits, extinguishers, and emergency protocols are in place.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or stock management (+3 years min).
- Forklift Licence (LF/LO) and experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate stock levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers, couriers, and customers in a professional manner.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software (preferred but not essential).
- Physically fit and able to lift and move stock, as required in a warehouse environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues with stock discrepancies, equipment failures, or dispatch delays.
- Understanding of WHS regulations and warehouse safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times.
