The Barossa Council is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Coordinator who is excited to elevate our Council’s learning strategy and is passionate about building and developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Working in a high performing and thriving organisation, the Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive site-wide learning framework that aligns with Council’s corporate objectives to improve on the effectiveness of our existing platform. This includes the creation of new processes, overseeing and facilitating the transition to an updated system whilst safeguarding accurate data transfer and ongoing system maintenance. You will be required to ensure compliance with policies and legislation, while providing high-quality administrative support. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success in this role to ensure training programs are relevant, organised and aligned with industry best practices.
The Learning and Development Coordinator will also lead the design, development and delivery of Council-wide training in collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure user-friendly and inclusive content. The role involves the administering of the Learning Management System to support mandatory and discretionary training.
To be successful you will need:
- Proven experience developing and implementing training frameworks and processes in corporate and operational settings.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training software.
- Project management experience relating to the migration of information between online systems.
- Hands-on experience working with subject matter experts to develop relevant training content.
- The ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

This is a part-time (0.6FTE), fixed-term 12-month contract offered at General Officer Level 5 $95,015.39 - $99,101.50 (pro-rated) under our Enterprise Agreement 2022. Essential position requirements
- This position requires you to hold and provide evidence of a current and valid National Police Check (NPC) before being appointed to the position.
