The Opportunity
We are seeking a Paraplanner to join our client’s team and support senior advisers in delivering tailored financial advice. This role is ideal for a technical expert with a deep understanding of advice strategies who can provide consistent, high-quality support over the long term. Work Arrangement is flexible and ideally 3-4 days in the office.
The Role
- Prepare high-quality, accurate, timely, and compliant Statements of Advice (SoA's) on behalf of the advisers, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with advisers to develop complex financial strategies for new and existing clients.
- Communicate effectively with advisers and clients, ensuring clear, concise, and professional interactions.
- Assist advisers in ensuring that all advice processes align with ethical, legal, and internal compliance standards.
- Perform financial modelling, insurance quantification, product research, and investment recommendations.
- Support advisers by obtaining information needed to prepare comprehensive SoA's.
- Peer review advice to ensure compliance and best practices across the firm.
- Use Xplan extensively, including Xtools, to support advice preparation.
- Assist with additional projects around implementation and technology
- Bring an open and engaging personality to contribute positively to the team and foster strong relationships.
About You
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the financial planning sector and experience with complex strategies, particularly around superannuation and investments - lots of opportunity to learn also
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to engage confidently and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate and compliant work.
- A personable, open, and proactive mindset that enhances collaboration and teamwork.
- Proficiency in Xplan (including Xtools) and MS Office.
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements within the financial advice industry.
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
