Melville Glades Golf Club are looking for a person to manage the regular daily functions of the Club’s finances, including but not limited to P&L, Balance Sheet, Payroll and creditor runs and, to assist the General Manager with other aspects of the Club’s financials as required.
The role will be full time, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work as required. Some of the duties required will be:
- Regular budget consolidation
- Cash flow management
- Reconcile all bank statements and monthly financial reports
- Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
- Stakeholder management
- Debt management and collection
- Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations, including taxes
- Payroll processing
- Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports
- Review current accounting systems with others, recommend future direction and implement agreed actions.
- Review current business management policies and procedures, and implement agreed actions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end Financial accounts including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Accounts adjustments and annual reports each year.
The person applying for this position should have the following skills:
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an integrated team environment.
- Proficient in accounting software and modern techniques.
- The ability to work with MYOB, Member Magic and SwiftPOS.
- Strong ethical standards and reliability.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand and work within the rules of a private members’ Club that is an incorporated association.
- Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Desirable.
- Suitable qualifications for modern accounting practices. An Accounting degree or similar is desirable but not essential.
- The ability to work with MiClub systems at an initial entry point.
- Good IT skills in general office work applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
