About the role

We are seeking a motivated and organised Canteen and Uniform Coordinator to join our team at Howlong Public School. In this casual role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our school canteen, as well as managing the school uniform shop. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing healthy and nutritious meals to our students and ensuring a smooth and efficient uniform distribution process.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating the daily operations of the school canteen, including menu planning, food preparation, and service
• Managing the school uniform shop, including ordering, stocking, and distributing uniforms to students
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
• Maintaining accurate records and providing regular reports to the P&C committee
• Collaborating with the school and P&C to identify and implement improvements to the canteen and uniform services
• Ensure that the operation of the canteen is in line with the values of the school community

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a school or hospitality environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
• Ability to work well in a team and lead a group of volunteers
