About the role

We are seeking a Casual Canteen Manager to join our team at Balgowlah Boys Canteen in Balgowlah. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and welcoming school community.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school canteen, ensuring efficient and smooth service
• Preparing and serving a variety of healthy and delicious food and drinks to students and staff
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the canteen
• Ordering and managing stock levels to meet demand
• Supervising and training canteen staff
• Providing excellent customer service to the school community
• Managing a roster of paid and volunteer staff

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a similar canteen or food service role
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• A passion for providing healthy and delicious food options
• A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain one
• A positive, friendly, and reliable attitude
• Current Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
