- Base Salary of $99,455 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
As the Wellbeing Engagement Advisor, you will be at the heart of creating a vibrant, supportive student experience. In this role, you will design and deliver innovative wellbeing programs that empower students to thrive academically, personally, and socially. You will also provide tailored, evidence-based support that addresses the unique challenges students face, from academic pressures and financial concerns to mental health, cultural adjustment, and personal development through one-to-one consultations. By fostering a holistic approach to student wellbeing, you'll help build a healthier, more connected university community where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Work in a cohesive and collaborative team reporting into the Manager, Student Wellbeing Engagement
- facilitate intake, screening, and assessment to connect students with appropriate wellbeing services and programs
- develop and promote wellbeing initiatives, events, and training in collaboration with Student Life leaders
- connect at-risk students with internal and external support services and personal development opportunities
- create individualized, student-centered wellbeing and referral plans to address diverse needs
- foster a safe, inclusive environment while contributing to policies, stakeholder collaboration, and student support programs
About you
- experience working in the mental health space in a role that has needed to respond to 'at risk' individuals or groups
- ability to speak a language other than English would be highly desirable
- an empathetic and warm manner, with the ability to make vulnerable students feel at ease
- proven experience in developing, promoting and delivering health and wellbeing programs
- experience in responding to individuals who present in crisis, including a strong knowledge of risk management frameworks
- ability to manage and prioritise a number of competing projects and tasks.
