ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a highly motivated, experienced leader with a passion for making a difference? Do you have a flair for managing complex contracts, ensuring seamless administration, and driving continuous improvement?

As the Manager Training Operations, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Wodonga TAFE Joint Technical Trades Training Services (JTTTS) contract. This key position will have you at the forefront of leading and managing the administrative support service to the contract regarding delivery of the programs, student administration, JTTTS Administration Portal and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Skills Portal.

You’ll lead a national team of administration professionals to deliver an efficient, high-quality, and responsive service. In doing so, you’ll play a critical role in scheduling upwards of 250+ courses annually across 12 different subcontractors located across Australia and ensure that resources are allocated and reported correctly. You’ll be responsible for ensuring Wodonga TAFE complies with the complex JTTTS Contract requirements associated with student and training administration, and operational service delivery of the JTTTS contract, whilst continually improving processes to support the Australian Defence Force (ADF) training programs.

Selected Duties:

  • Provide expert guidance to key stakeholders, including subcontractor delivery partners and key members of the ADF on training and contract administration to maintain consistency across the JTTTS contract.
  • Lead the national JTTTS administration teams to ensure efficient service delivery, with a focus on meeting objectives and contract deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline administrative services for Defence contracts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely contract reporting to Defence to ensure seamless operations and contract compliance.
  • Lead the student data analytics and Training Delivery Schedule, ensuring the effective execution of critical contract elements essential to the successful delivery of the JTTTS contract.
  • Advise on and implement best practices in training and administration processes, contributing to the ongoing success of Wodonga TAFE and its Defence-related programs.

  • Essential: A Bachelor’s qualification in Business Administration/Management or equivalent experience in a similar role with significant management expertise.
  • Essential: Proven experience in contract management.
  • Essential: A demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex administrative functions, ensuring alignment with policy, procedures, and legislation.
  • Essential: Must be an Australian Citizen to be able to gain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
