Position: Training and Capability Manager
Location: Springvale, VIC
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 plus super
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Training and Capability Manager to join their team and enhance employee capabilities across their operations. This key role will be based at the Head Office and leading manufacturing site in Dandenong South. Initially focused on the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and warehouse operations, the role will expand to support broader areas of the organisation in line with their commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The Training and Capability Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering training programs tailored to operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards. You will collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and ensure alignment with the company's goals. This role will also involve maintaining accurate training records, evaluating training effectiveness, and keeping up to date with industry trends to incorporate into training initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in training delivery within manufacturing and warehouse environments, exceptional communication and organisational skills, and a strong commitment to driving improvement across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and deliver training programs tailored to operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards within manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify training needs, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across operations.
- Conduct engaging training sessions to enhance technical competencies and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all training, inductions, and assessments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve learning outcomes.
- Stay informed on industry trends and integrate best practices into training materials.
- Work closely with HR to develop performance management programs.
Required Experience and Attributes:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience delivering training in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) preferred.
- Proven experience in instructional design and face-to-face facilitation.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and warehouse process controls.
- Ability to assess compliance and present information to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of WHS and OHS requirements.
