Position Title: Computer Network and Systems Engineer
Position Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Computer Network and Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in a dynamic and high-performing environment at Keysborough (3173), Victoria, Australia.
Key Responsibilities/Roles:
- Analyze and clarify the network/system requirements of the customer’s task request.
- Gather detailed technical information to ensure precise implementation of network infrastructure solutions.
- Build strong professional relationships by proactively providing updates on technical work and ensuring customer expectations are managed.
- Communicate any technical changes or issues identified during the service delivery process.
- Diagnose and resolve network and system issues, including hardware replacements, software troubleshooting, and upgrades, following established procedures and best practices.
- Perform network testing and run diagnostic software to verify the operational functionality of repaired or upgraded systems.
- Escalate technical faults or failures in system components to the appropriate technical support team or management.
- Perform on-site fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with technical support teams (e.g., Help Desk) for additional assistance as needed to resolve complex issues.
- Prioritize and manage tasks to ensure timely resolution of network/system-related incidents in alignment with contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Accurately update the status of technical support calls, ensuring proper documentation and resolution tracking.
- Oversee the service ticket queue, ensuring that network/system-related service requests are handled promptly, coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams as necessary.
- Ensure that all equipment and parts used during the repair or upgrade process are properly documented and returned within the specified time frame.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless technical support, including assisting other engineers and coordinators when required for complex projects.
- Support troubleshooting and network optimization initiatives across multiple sites to enhance system reliability and security.
- Maintain and update technical documentation for network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure continuity of service and compliance with industry standards.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or a relevant field of study.
- Any IT certifications are desired but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Remuneration:
- Salary: $75,000 + Superannuation (Full-time Employment, Minimum 38 hours per week)
- Superannuation: 11% per annum, subject to increase in line with government legislation
- Overtime: Paid according to the National Employment Standards
- Review: Annual performance review
- Benefits: You will be provided with a company laptop, phone, fuel card, and E-tag.
