About the Role
As the Senior Industrial Relations Advisor, you will play a key role within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), working closely with the Director of Industrial Relations to manage and address complex employee relations matters. Your high-quality advice and services will support CALHN health units and other client groups, driving best practice workforce management and development across the organisation. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen CALHN’s industrial relations practices.
In this position, you will be responsible for providing expert industrial relations advice, coordination, and representation on a range of issues, including disciplinary processes, misconduct, and the interpretation of industrial instruments. You will also be involved in the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, and representing CALHN at the South Australian Industrial Relations Tribunal (SAET). - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and explain government policy.
- Proven experience in advocating for optimal employee and industrial relations policies and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially when engaging with senior officers and industrial organisations.
- Extensive knowledge of the health sector and workforce relations, with the ability to handle complex issues.
