As the People Relations Advisor, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, reporting to the COO on strategic and high-level matters and collaborating with another senior manager on day-to-day people issues. This pivotal role covers the full employee life cycle, from onboarding to exit, and will contribute to shaping and delivering the People & Culture strategy. You’ll support Return to Work programs, key safety initiatives, and oversee critical People activities.

Your insights and expertise will guide the Executive and Management teams on performance management, employment legislation, industrial relations, and enterprise agreements within the complex maritime and transport industries. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, ensuring they stay ahead of industry regulations and maintain a high standard of employee engagement and legal compliance.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for all People-related matters within the organisation, engaging with employees at all levels. Building strong rapport and fostering positive business relationships is essential. Additionally, the role will be instrumental in liaising with key external stakeholders, including government and regulatory authorities, industry and training bodies, and relevant unions and employee representatives.

Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on industrial relations, employee legislation and enterprise agreements is required. Experience or exposure to a union-based environment and the transport or logistics sector will be highly regarded.
