About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Manager to lead WA Police Legacy with strategic vision and operational excellence. Reporting to the Board, this role provides high-level leadership, oversees service delivery, ensures financial sustainability, and maintains governance compliance. You will play a pivotal role in fostering stakeholder relationships, securing funding opportunities, and strengthening the organisation’s impact within the community.

The ideal candidate is a values-driven leader with a strong background in the community, not-for-profit, or social services sector. You have a proven track record in strategic leadership, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. With excellent people management skills, you will foster a positive workplace culture and drive service excellence.
Key Duties
Strategic Leadership and Service Delivery:
- Develop and implement WA Police Legacy’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Board
- Oversee high-quality programs and services that support Police Legatees and Members
- Ensure services are evidence-based, compliant with industry standards, and responsive to community needs
Stakeholder and Community Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison between WA Police Legacy, WA Police, government agencies, and donors
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships to enhance service impact
- Represent WA Police Legacy at public forums, conferences, and media events
- Oversee marketing and advocacy strategies to enhance public engagement
Governance, Risk, and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with ACNC, ASIC, ATO, Corporations Act 2001, Privacy Act 1988, and other regulations
- Implement corporate governance policies and best practices
Financial and Resource Management:
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the Board
- Oversee payroll, accounts management
People and Culture Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a team of staff and volunteers
- Promote an inclusive, values-driven workplace culture
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the community, NFP, or social services sector
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, compliance, and risk management
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, and revenue diversification
- High-level stakeholder engagement experience, including government, donors, and corporate sponsors
- Excellent people management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication, including board reporting and public representation
- Tertiary qualification in business management or a related discipline
