About This Opportunity
Lead the strategic management and delivery of enrolment, progression, and ESOS compliance processes, ensuring exceptional service and expert guidance in accordance with University policies and legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
Academic Calendar Management
- Develop, coordinate, and publish the University's Academic Calendar, ensuring accurate key dates.
International Student Compliance
- Oversee ESOS Act compliance, including data surveillance, regulatory reporting, and processing student requests (interruptions, withdrawals, transfers).
Enrolment & Progression Management
- Manage complex enrolment processes (retention, late enrolment, duplicate records) and student progression interventions.
Policy & Advisory Support
- Provide expert advice on enrolment policies, procedures, and legislative requirements to senior management, faculties, schools, and students.
Process Improvement & Analysis
- Conduct business analysis and process mapping to identify and implement improvement opportunities, including digitisation and automation.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead the Student Enrolments team, including performance management, staff development, workload monitoring, and resource allocation.
About You
- Degree/qualifications and extensive relevant experience.
- Demonstrated management and organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and experience in interpreting and operationalizing legislative requirements and policies within higher education (specifically related to student enrolments and ESOS compliance).
- Demonstrated leadership in staff supervision, training, and performance management, with excellent communication skills for report writing, negotiation, and stakeholder liaison.
- High-level digital literacy, including experience with enterprise systems (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Business Objects desirable), and ability to achieve goals within inflexible deadlines while maintaining compliance.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
