About This Opportunity

As a key member of the Student Support and Wellbeing Senior Leadership Team, these roles lead and oversees a portfolio of professional teams, delivering proactive and impactful support services that enhance student success at UQ.

The 2 positions are;

Senior Manager, Education and Wellbeing

Senior Manager, Accessibility and Welfare

Key responsibilities will include:

Team Leadership & Management

Supervise and manage staff, ensuring excellence in service delivery across key areas of Accessibility and Welfare.

Strategic Leadership & Service Development

Provide leadership for strategic initiatives and projects to enhance the student experience and drive continuous improvement.

Resource Management & Budget Oversight

Manage budgets, staffing levels, and ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Utilize data and performance indicators to inform service delivery, evaluate outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the student experience.

About You
  • Postgraduate qualification or progress towards, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in project management, service improvement, and delivering client-centred services.
  • Experience leading and managing teams, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage critical incidents.

You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
