As part of our expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding & Logistics Coordinator.
Role Overview
The Freight Forwarding & Logistics Coordinator (Supply Chain Analyst ANZSCO 224714) will be responsible for analysing freight operations, optimizing supply chain processes, and implementing cost-effective logistics strategies. The ideal candidate will use data analytics and process improvement techniques to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance the overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage air, sea, and land transportation to ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and international regulations.
- Evaluate supply chain processes to detect inefficiencies and delays, implementing strategies to enhance overall performance.
- Utilise data analysis to design efficient logistics routes, optimise cargo space, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Analyse international trade laws and assess associated risks, improving documentation accuracy and expediting customs clearance to maintain compliance.
- Review freight expenses and evaluate supplier efficiency, identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating favourable rates to optimise logistics.
- Establish tracking mechanisms for accurate data collection, resolve discrepancies, improve supply chain visibility, and maintain effective communication with suppliers and clients to ensure smooth goods transit.
Key Requirements
✔ Qualification: A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
✔ Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain analysis.
✔ Technical Skills: Proficiency in freight management software (Cyberfreight,) and Excel .
✔ Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of INCOTERMS, Australian import/export laws, and customs procedures.
✔ Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse freight data, optimize routes, and reduce costs.
