Our Client

Our client, a proudly South Australian-owned and operated business, has grown to become one of the largest and most reputable electrical contractors in South Australia. Specialising in commercial, industrial, domestic, maintenance, communications, and excavations, they deliver high-quality electrical infrastructure for major landmark projects across South Australia and interstate, working with some of Australia's largest organisations.

They are now seeking a confident, motivated, and highly organised Electrical Estimator to join their team.

About the Role

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be an integral part of a supportive and dynamic team, playing a critical role in preparing and evaluating detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of project scopes, budgets, and timelines, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a proven track record in estimating small to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Assess and recommend value-engineering solutions to improve cost efficiency and project outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
• Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate cost databases and estimation records to support ongoing and future projects.

What You'll Need

✅ Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
✅ Strong knowledge of electrical codes, materials, and construction methods.
✅ Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
✅ Ability to assess and recommend cost-saving solutions without compromising quality.
✅ Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
✅ Proficiency in estimating software and systems.
✅ Full working rights in Australia.
✅ Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical check, including drug & alcohol testing.
