We currently have an exciting position available within our team as a Conference Floor Supervisor.

This role is based in the heart of North Sydney CBD and conveniently located near all major transport hubs. Our 100 Walker Street North Sydney property is a busy, multi-story office building with beautifully appointed private suites, flexible space and purpose-built conference, training, and event spaces.

About the Role

Our Conference Team is committed to a very high standard of presentation and delivers exceptional service to all our conference attendees each day. In your role as Conference Floor Supervisor, the role responsibilities will be split across front-of-house operations of our Conference Space as well as back-of-house duties assisting with enquiries and making bookings.

This is a Supervisory role where you will assist with the daily functions of the conference casual team completing daily tasks that will include;

  • Ensuring we deliver and support teams on exceptional client experience standards in all aspects of the role
  • Meet and greet with new and returning clients to develop relationship building
  • Staff Rostering and forecasting
  • Maintaining and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintaining superb floor presentation and cleanliness
  • Stock ordering and maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Assisting our guests with any issues they may have, from AV support to room setup changes, to Dietary requirements
  • Working with your staff to ensure our guests are well taken care of and all their needs are met to the best of your ability
  • Aware of all OHS hazards and management/reporting of issues immediately as they arise to mitigate accidents
  • Assisting with any projects, or undertaking additional duties as reasonably required

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Previous full-time experience in a hotel conference/banquet operation. Supervisory experience is preferred although we consider job fit in our team just as important as having previous experience. You will demonstrate an example of how you are an effective leader to your established team of casual attendants.
  • The ability to work autonomously, taking pride and ownership of tasks along with an exceptional eye for detail. You will be instrumental in our team by refining our operational procedures to increase the standard of service delivery to our clients.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Has a basic level of AV knowledge: setting and troubleshooting of data projectors and laptops; setting and balancing of basic PA systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
