Perhaps your looking for the next step up in responsibility in project leadership within mining but don’t want to go FIFO? Or, are you are tired of solely desk engineering and seek site experience with hands on, client facing exposure.
Challenge Pumps is a global leader in the provision of mine dewatering solutions. We are experiencing unprecedented growth both locally and abroad. You will play a crucial role in building strong relationships with our customers, understanding their needs then presenting client requirements back to our internal design team. You will work closely with our highly supportive, cross-functional team lead by passionate and relatable Directors.
The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical engineering and some general interest in fluid dynamics coupled with strong written skill and commercial acumen. The candidate is not expected to know the dewatering environment, as we are willing to invest in training.

Position Specific Requirements: (General Day to Day Duties)
- Develop strong relationships with site-based managers on dewatering solutions.
- Seek market intelligence around changes in mining processes and dewatering.
- Present strategic opportunities to Directors both domestically and globally.
- Provide feedback to our design team on product performance and client satisfaction.
- Assist in building bespoke system designs based on the clients' unique needs.
- Remain abreast of supply lead times and assembly activities to ensure client satisfaction on delivery times.
- Act as on-site focal point for system design, commissioning and trouble shooting.
- Provide leadership in hydrodynamic modelling of pumping solutions.
- Lead in setting standards of professional representation of our brand in all aspects of communication with clients.
- General office duties as required.
