Our Northern Beaches client is a growing Australian business with a large global presence. Their premium products are sold via Ecommerce (D2C) and distributors.

The Part Time Finance Officer will work closely with the General Manager and be responsible for our client's day to day financial operations.

This is a permanent part time role; however, the number of days and hours (approximately 18-21) are flexible to suit your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting: Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
• Financial reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Cash flow management: Monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity while tracking expenses and managing working capital.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in creating and managing annual budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis to support business growth.
• Audit preparation: Assist with preparation for audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Financial analysis: Provide insights into financial performance and recommend actionable strategies for cost reduction and profit maximization.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in accounting, with a preference for D2C, eCommerce, or international business environments.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Indigo8), as well as Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of tax compliance, particularly in multi-national settings, and international VAT/GST regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role.
• A proactive approach, with a willingness to solve problems and improve processes.
