About the Role

Guardian Building Group is seeking a talented Part-Time Estimator to join our dynamic team in Emu Plains, NSW. This is a part-time role, offering the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments. As our Part-Time Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth and profitability, by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering all relevant factors such as materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and scopes of work to identify and quantify all necessary resources
• Collaborate with senior estimator
• Maintain a comprehensive database of costs, pricing, and supplier information to aid in the estimating process
• Providing quotes to customers based on all up-to-date prices

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably within the residential industry
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and other technical documents
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Proficient in using estimating software and spreadsheet applications
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
