Medical Secretary - Full-time & Part time

We are looking 2 enthusiastic people to join our friendly and supportive team - 1 x fulltime and 1 x permanent part-time (Monday & Tuesday).

The Practice

Northern Suburbs Gastroenterology is a dynamic practice located in The Parkway San Clinic, Wahroonga. We are a varied team of gastroenterologists, nurse and administration staff who support each other to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients to the practice.
• Medical reception duties including invoicing, receipting, processing Medicare claims.
• Scheduling appointments, booking procedures and hospital admissions.
• Taking incoming phone calls and directing patient queries where appropriate.
• Providing written information consents and procedure estimates to patients.
• General secretarial support to the specialists as required.

To be closely considered for this position you will have the following skills/attributes:

• Excellent communication skills.
• An ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to prioritise work tasks and deal with competing tasks.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to cover other days during sick/holiday leave (part-time position).
• Experience as a medical secretary essential.
• Experience using Genie medical software.
• Enjoy working in a busy and often fast paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a unique workplace, where you work independently alongside other practices within the same office. Hours are typically 8-4:30pm or 8:30-5pm.
