Sideline Sports Recruitment is proud to partner exclusively with Sports Dietitians Australia to find a dynamic Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth.

Sports Dietitians Australia (SDA) is the peak professional body for accredited sports dietitians, they exist to empower, support and advocate for their members to be leaders in health and performance.

SDA is seeking a strategic, commercially savvy leader to take on the role of Executive Officer (EO) drive the next phase of growth for the organisation to continue to support its members. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sports nutrition in Australia, expand industry influence and create new opportunities for SDA’s members while the positioning the organisation as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the vision, implement growth strategies and future-proof the organisation and profession.
  • Partnerships & Advocacy: Strengthen relationships with key sporting bodies, sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Financial & Commercial Success: Drive revenue diversification through sponsorships, partnerships and sustained growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead operational efficiencies, governance, compliance and performance metrics to deliver outstanding results.
  • Member & Industry Engagement: Elevate the profile of the organisation’s members and profession, ensuring its credentials are recognised and valued.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in a commercial, sport, membership base or health-related organisation.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in revenue growth, sponsorship and business development.
  • A strategic thinker who can turn big-picture ideas into actionable outcomes.
  • An exceptional communicator and influencer, comfortable engaging with executives, stakeholders and the active community.
  • A passionate, positive, solutions-focused leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment.
  • A person who can excite and energise a small team to believe in the vision of the organisation and its growth.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in sports, healthcare or professional membership associations.
  • A degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • Digital literacy in utilising and building platforms to create efficiencies in work and communications
