We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our fast-growing East Coast team and clients, in our client’s head office based in Melbourne City. This position will be a long-term casual contract for an initial 6-month duration, with potential to extend. Hours worked will be Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be experienced in heavy Engineering or construction management to lead several Projects across our client’s diverse range of waste management facilities in Victoria.

The successful candidate will oversee the definition and execution planning and implementation phases of a number of a range of infrastructure projects. The role is ideal for a highly experienced project manager with a background in heavy engineering or construction industries.

Duties Include:

• Lead the project through design and execution planning phases to Final Investment Decision (FID)
• Oversee implementation, commissioning, and successful handover to operations
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Manage project scope, budget, schedules, and risk assessments to achieve key milestones
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and Cleanaway leadership
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise plant performance and operational efficiency
• Prepare and present progress reports and project documentation to senior management.

Experience & Qualifications

• Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability best practices.
• Significant (5+yrs) Project management experience in heavy industry or construction.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, budgets, and project timelines
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
