Essential Skillset:

• A background in residential building management, with experience delivering multiple residential projects as a Development Manager / Project Manager;
• Ideally, a formal qualification such as Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Planning (or equivalent experience);
• Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects concurrently, with a focus on outcomes and client needs;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, thriving in a team environment;
• Willingness and ability to travel once per month as required;
• Exceptional organisational skills, with experience in financial management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement;
• A passion for innovation and delivering social housing solutions that make a difference;

Desirable but not essential:

• Understanding of DCP / LEP in particular in south western sydney;
• Project Management skills

About the Role:

You are an experienced and dynamic Construction Development Manager to join the team, delivering major residential redevelopment projects in South West Sydney.

This role focuses on driving social housing outcomes through collaboration with private, not-for-profit, and community housing sectors, aligning with the objectives of the Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC). Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver social housing projects by partnering with private, not-for-profit, and community housing sectors to meet LAHC objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business partners, contractors, consultants, and government agencies, to manage expectations, report progress, and foster collaboration.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and scoping to delivery, ensuring effective financial, risk, and stakeholder management processes are in place.
• Monitor and report on governance arrangements, ensuring projects meet financial, time, and quality standards in line with quality assurance practices.
• Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and operational risks, developing strategies to ensure project success.
• Drive innovation and collaboration, implementing industry best practices to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
• Prepare strategic and operational documentation, including briefing papers, reports, and submissions, to inform and engage stakeholders.
• Provide expert advice and support to the Executive Leadership Team on project development, implementation, and reporting.
